Mill Farm Organic

Livestock

Mill Farm is farmed to Soil Association organic standards, working with nature to produce the best results rather than conquer it. We use no chemical fertilisers or pesticides.

Animal welfare is our top priority and we pride ourselves on our gentle, compassionate handling skills. Calves stay with their mothers for almost 9 months, by which time they have often weaned themselves without the stresses of premature separation.

The herd is "closed", so that through careful breeding and management it is able to build up its own levels of natural immunity to local pathogens.

Wildlife conservation is important to us. The farm has a rich variety of plant, bird and insect life. This is nurtured under organic farming practice and the Countryside Stewardship Scheme, guidance from the Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group. Mill Farm is also a RSPB volunteer farm.

Bull for Sale or Rent.
